For my graphic design class, we chose a local business whose logo could use a little love! I decided to choose the Carolina Kernel brand. They specialize in gourmet popcorn and have over 65+ unique flavors. I needed to make a logo that could appeal to all different demographics.
The first assignment we needed to turn in was a font sheet. Using DaFont.com, I downloaded a few fonts that I believed fit the three words I used to describe the brand: fun, fancy, appealing.
Next, I picked up the old pen and paper and came up with as many designs as I could. The main elements I tried to include were the business name, slogan, year created, location, and of course, product.
Here's the final logo!
These were a few of the logos that I made that didn't make the final cut to be designed on the computer. I focused around the idea of the popcorn kernel, and made sure to include that in a majority of my designs.
And I created a business card and thank you note to go along with the new logo!
